Bumble Bee Foods unveiled an exciting upgrade to this year’s BeeWell for Life®, the leading North American seafood brand’s signature interactive health and wellness program. BeeWell for Life™ is designed to help consumers lead a more healthful lifestyle using the dedicated resource website www.BeeWellForLife.com.
The program offers consumers the chance to earn points by logging the miles they walk, run or bike, completing weekly challenges and entering the calories they consume. These points then translate to money earned for their choice of one, two or all three charity partners. BeeWell for Life™ partners in 2012 are theAmerican Diabetes Association®, WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease and Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization™.
“Encouraging a healthy lifestyle is a vital component of Bumble Bee’s mission and brand philosophy. We hope to help educate and inspire positive change in our consumers’ lives with this new program, while also giving back to three very meaningful causes,” said Bumble Bee Senior Vice President Consumer Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility Dave Melbourne.
Coinciding with the unveiling of the 2012 program is the introduction of a new BeeWell for Life® website with enhanced tools, information and resources to help consumers incorporate healthy eating and exercise into their everyday lives. These include tips from BeeWell for Life registered dietitians, Stephanie Clarke & Willow Jarosh and fitness expert, Jennifer Edwards. The website will also house monthly documentary-style webisodes featuring top ranked United States men’s tennis player, Mardy Fish with special appearances that include celebrity chef personality, Scott Leibfried.
To view the first webisode, Transformation, featuring Mardy Fish talking about the positive changes he’s made to his lifestyle and eating habits, and how its changed his life both on and off the court, visit:http://www.beewellforlife.com/webisode-1-transformation/.
